As a key member of our agile squad, you'll architect scalable cloud systems using modern tech stacks while mentoring junior engineers. Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of microservices architecture on AWS/GCP
- Mentor 2-3 junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Optimize database performance (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) for 99.99% uptime
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Kubernetes
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Contribute to open-source projects with 20% innovation time
- Present quarterly tech talks at Omaha DevOps meetups
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in backend development (Python/Java/Go)
- Expertise in cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong background in distributed systems and event-driven design
- Proficiency with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- CS degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience with FinTech or healthcare compliance (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ production-scale projects
