Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices using Java, Python, and Go
- Lead development of secure cloud-native applications on AWS GovCloud
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and security vulnerability assessments
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical workshops
- Document architecture decisions and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
- Participate in agile ceremonies to deliver high-impact features quarterly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Java and Python with strong OOP fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation
- Strong understanding of security best practices (OWASP, NIST compliance)
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
