As a key member of our agile team, you'll architect scalable applications serving Fortune 500 clients across healthcare and finance sectors. Our engineers collaborate daily through virtual whiteboarding sessions and quarterly in-person innovation retreats at our Lakefront campus.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices using Go and Python on AWS
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization using Jenkins and Terraform
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming sessions
- Conduct code reviews and enforce architectural standards
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Optimize database performance in PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Implement security best practices for PCI-compliant systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems principles
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker)
- Expertise in testing frameworks (Jest, Pytest)
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Portfolio demonstrating complex system architecture
