Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust microservices using Java/Spring Boot and AWS
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers in our Phoenix-based team
- Optimize database performance (PostgreSQL/Redis) and CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specs
- Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS with Kubernetes
- Automate testing infrastructure to maintain 99.9% uptime
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and container orchestration
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Proven track record of delivering production-ready code
- Experience with fintech or high-transaction systems preferred
