Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native microservices using Java/Spring Boot
- Lead code reviews and enforce best practices for CI/CD pipelines
- Optimize database performance with PostgreSQL and Redis caching
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party financial services
- Mentor 2-3 junior engineers through pair programming and technical sessions
- Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and implement fixes
- Contribute to architectural decisions using AWS and Kubernetes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java/Spring
- Expert knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization
- Experience with API security (OAuth, JWT) and payment processing systems
- Proven track record of mentoring junior developers
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with fintech or high-throughput transaction systems preferred
