Responsibilities
- Architect and implement microservices using Java, Python, and cloud technologies (AWS/GCP)
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical reviews
- Optimize system performance and ensure 99.99% uptime for mission-critical applications
- Lead CI/CD pipeline improvements using Kubernetes and Terraform
- Collaborate with Product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Contribute to open-source projects and stay current with emerging technologies
- Drive code quality through automated testing and security best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java/Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization technologies
- Strong background in RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems
- Proven track record of leading complex projects from conception to deployment
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira/Confluence workflows
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Portfolio demonstrating contributions to production-scale applications
