Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance RESTful APIs and distributed systems using Go and Kubernetes
- Lead code reviews and contribute to CI/CD pipeline optimizations for 99.99% uptime
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and architecture workshops
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventive measures
- Drive adoption of DevOps best practices including infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Represent engineering in cross-functional sprint planning and stakeholder demos
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 5+ years in backend development
- Expertise in Go, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) with Docker/Kubernetes proficiency
- Proven experience designing event-driven architectures and message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka)
- Strong understanding of SRE principles, monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana), and observability
- Experience with database optimization (PostgreSQL/MongoDB) and caching strategies
- Track record of owning full-lifecycle development from concept to production deployment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to balance technical debt and innovation
- Collaborative mindset with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
