Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native microservices using Java/Spring Boot and AWS infrastructure
- Lead code reviews and architectural discussions for high-traffic government applications
- Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical workshops
- Optimize system performance and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab
- Ensure compliance with FISMA and FedRAMP security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- Expertise in Java, Python, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Node.js)
- Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Proven experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and JIRA/Confluence workflows
- Security clearance eligibility or existing government clearance preferred
