Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events across the enterprise infrastructure via SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, Elastic).
- Conduct in-depth incident investigations, root cause analysis, and threat hunting activities during the night cycle.
- Assist in the containment, isolation, and eradication of malware and network intrusions.
- Collaborate with the Red Team to validate detection capabilities and refine playbooks.
- Generate detailed security reports, trend analysis, and incident summaries for executive stakeholders.
- Perform log analysis and anomaly detection to identify potential zero-day exploits.
- Support vulnerability management processes and patch management coordination.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment, specifically in a night shift capacity.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Valid certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
- Proven experience with SIEM tools like Splunk, Elastic Stack, or LogRhythm.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Must be willing to work rotating night shifts and weekends as required.
