Responsibilities
- Continuous Monitoring: Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Incident Response: Conduct triage, investigation, and remediation of security breaches and incidents with minimal supervision.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for threats within the network environment using advanced analytics and threat intelligence.
- Reporting: Create detailed incident reports and contribute to the continuous improvement of our security playbooks and runbooks.
- Collaboration: Liaise with the day-shift team and external stakeholders to ensure seamless handover and communication.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2) during night operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm, or ArcSight) and firewalls.
- Tools: Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence platforms.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM EST).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting critical findings.
