Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead research in quantum cryptography and secure communication protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present at QIP and IEEE conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise graduate interns
- Secure NSF and DoD research grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- US citizenship required for government contract compliance
