Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel quantum algorithms to solve complex optimization, machine learning, and simulation problems.
- Collaborate closely with hardware engineering teams to optimize algorithms for specific quantum processor architectures and error correction schemes.
- Implement and benchmark algorithms using industry-standard quantum simulators and cloud-based quantum processors (e.g., IBM Qiskit, Google Cirq).
- Translate theoretical quantum mechanics concepts into executable code, ensuring robustness and scalability.
- Conduct research to identify new applications for quantum advantage in real-world enterprise scenarios.
- Mentor junior engineers and researchers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- PhD or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on quantum information science.
- Proven experience in developing quantum algorithms, specifically in the areas of QAOA, VQE, or Grover's search.
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++, with a deep understanding of quantum software stacks (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, Pennylane).
- Extensive knowledge of linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics fundamentals.
