Role Overview:
As a Prompt Engineer, you will act as the bridge between human intent and machine execution. Your work will directly impact product quality, user engagement, and the efficiency of our AI systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect Prompts: Develop sophisticated prompt chains and system instructions for LLMs like GPT-4 and Claude to handle complex, multi-turn conversations.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze model outputs and iteratively refine prompts to minimize hallucinations and maximize factual accuracy.
- A/B Testing: Design and execute rigorous A/B tests to compare prompt strategies and determine the most effective approaches.
- Creative Strategy: Brainstorm creative applications of AI to solve real-world business problems.
- Documentation: Maintain a comprehensive library of prompt templates, best practices, and edge case handling guides.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and UX Designers to align AI capabilities with user needs.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering, computational linguistics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Transformer architecture and Hugging Face libraries.
- Model Knowledge: Deep understanding of how Large Language Models work, including context windows, tokenization, and fine-tuning processes.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts simply.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of debugging and optimizing AI outputs.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, English, or a related discipline.
