Responsibilities
- Model Orchestration: Design, develop, and refine sophisticated prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) including GPT-4, Claude, and Llama to maximize output quality and relevance.
- System Prompting: Create and maintain system-level instructions to guide model behavior, ensuring alignment with company values and ethical standards.
- Iterative Optimization: Conduct rigorous A/B testing and analysis of prompt variations to continuously improve model accuracy, tone, and response latency.
- Knowledge Management: Build and curate comprehensive prompt libraries and "prompt recipes" to scale AI capabilities across the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Product Managers to translate business requirements into technical prompt specifications.
- Documentation: Document prompt strategies, edge cases, and model behaviors to support reproducibility and future model training.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in technical writing, computational linguistics, or a dedicated role in prompt engineering/LLM interaction.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and familiarity with APIs such as OpenAI API or Hugging Face Transformers.
- Understanding of NLP: Strong grasp of Natural Language Processing concepts, tokenization, embeddings, and semantic analysis.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to debug complex conversational flows and identify model hallucinations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, English, or a related technical field.
