Responsibilities
- Design, test, and implement advanced prompt engineering strategies for enterprise-scale LLM applications
- Develop proprietary prompt optimization frameworks using reinforcement learning and A/B testing methodologies
- Collaborate with research teams to translate complex AI capabilities into practical user interfaces
- Create documentation and training materials for prompt engineering best practices across 200+ engineers
- Lead prompt security audits and adversarial testing initiatives to ensure model robustness
- Drive innovation in multi-modal prompt engineering for text, image, and code generation systems
- Mentor junior engineers while establishing department-wide prompt engineering standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years in AI/ML roles with 3+ years specializing in prompt engineering or NLP optimization
- Proven track record of shipping production-ready LLM applications serving 1M+ users
- Expertise in GPT-4, Claude, and open-source model prompt architectures
- Advanced Python proficiency with experience in LangChain, Hugging Face, and custom fine-tuning
- Strong background in cognitive science or linguistics with emphasis on human-AI interaction
- Experience with prompt security frameworks including prompt injection mitigation
- Published research in NLP conferences (NeurIPS, ACL, EMNLP) or equivalent industry impact
