Responsibilities
- Design and implement test frameworks for prompt optimization across multiple language models
- Collaborate with product teams to develop prompt strategies for specific use cases
- Document prompt engineering best practices and create reusable prompt libraries
- Analyze output quality metrics and iterate on prompt designs
- Conduct A/B testing to compare prompt effectiveness
- Develop guidelines for ethical AI interaction and bias mitigation
- Train cross-functional teams on prompt engineering principles
- Stay current with emerging LLM capabilities and research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or related field (MS preferred)
- 3+ years experience with large language models (GPT, Claude, LLaMA)
- Proven track record of optimizing prompts for production systems
- Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate qualitative AI outputs
- Experience with prompt engineering frameworks (LangChain, Haystack)
- Knowledge of NLP fundamentals and transformer architectures
- Excellent written communication and problem-solving abilities
- Portfolio demonstrating prompt engineering projects
