Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize advanced prompts for large language models (LLMs) including GPT-4, Claude, and proprietary systems
- Conduct rigorous prompt engineering testing, A/B testing, and performance analysis to maximize output quality
- Collaborate with ML engineers to fine-tune model behavior and reduce hallucinations
- Create comprehensive prompt libraries and documentation for enterprise clients
- Develop ethical AI frameworks ensuring responsible and bias-free prompt outputs
- Translate complex business requirements into precise prompt engineering solutions
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt engineering best practices and emerging techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering, NLP, or applied AI development
- Expertise in LLM architectures including GPT, Claude, and open-source alternatives
- Proven ability to design prompts for complex reasoning, creative generation, and domain-specific applications
- Strong programming skills in Python with experience in AI/ML frameworks (Hugging Face, LangChain)
- Deep understanding of tokenization, context windows, and model limitations
- Portfolio demonstrating successful prompt engineering projects with measurable outcomes
