Responsibilities
- Develop and iterate on high-precision prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) to maximize output quality, relevance, and safety.
- Conduct rigorous A/B testing and performance analysis to optimize response accuracy and minimize hallucinations.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and software engineers to integrate prompt engineering best practices into our core product architecture.
- Monitor and evaluate model outputs for bias, safety, and ethical compliance, ensuring alignment with DC regulatory standards.
- Create comprehensive documentation and knowledge bases regarding prompt architectures, chain-of-thought reasoning, and model behaviors.
- Stay ahead of the curve on emerging AI research, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve our AI capabilities.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing, NLP, or a related field, with a specific focus on AI/ML interaction.
- Deep understanding of OpenAI API, Anthropic Claude API, LangChain, or similar LLM frameworks.
- Exceptional command of language, grammar, and rhetoric, with a proven track record of crafting complex instruction sets.
- Strong analytical skills to deconstruct user intent and translate it into actionable technical prompts.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment within the Washington DC metro area.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote-first or hybrid setting.
