Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize prompt strategies for large language models (GPT-4, Claude, etc.) achieving 95%+ task accuracy
- Architect conversational flows and persona frameworks for enterprise AI applications
- Conduct A/B testing and iterative refinement of prompt performance metrics
- Develop proprietary prompt libraries and best practice documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align prompt engineering with product roadmap
- Research and implement advanced techniques like chain-of-thought and retrieval-augmented prompting
- Maintain prompt versioning and performance tracking systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on prompt engineering experience with production LLM systems
- Deep understanding of transformer architectures and attention mechanisms
- Proficiency in Python and experience with AI frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to design rigorous prompt evaluation frameworks
- Portfolio demonstrating 5+ complex prompt engineering projects
- Experience with MLOps and CI/CD for AI systems
- Excellent written communication with ability to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
