Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize prompt architectures for large language models including GPT-4, Claude, and proprietary systems
- Develop systematic prompt engineering frameworks to improve AI response accuracy and contextual understanding
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical prompt specifications
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis of prompt variations using quantitative metrics
- Create documentation and training materials for prompt engineering best practices across the organization
- Stay current with emerging AI research and integrate new techniques into prompt development workflows
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt engineering methodologies and ethical AI implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering, NLP, or applied AI development
- Proven track record of shipping production-level AI systems with measurable performance improvements
- Expertise in Python and experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face)
- Strong understanding of transformer architectures and language model capabilities/limitations
- Demonstrable portfolio of prompt engineering projects with quantifiable results
- Excellent written communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts
