Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) hardware and software.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Perform routine network audits, security checks, and system updates.
- Assist in the design and implementation of network upgrades and expansions.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT support team to resolve complex technical issues for end-users.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Network+ certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network administration.
- Proficiency with routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling infrastructure (fiber/copper).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, and network protocols.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites within the Houston area.
