Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Implement and manage network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to upgrade network infrastructure and integrate new technologies.
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
- Provide technical support and training to junior staff and internal users.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is highly preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in network administration and support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), and switching technologies.
- Experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista) and virtualization platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
