Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise-grade LAN/WAN infrastructure including Cisco routers/switches
- Implement and manage VPN solutions, firewalls (Palo Alto/Fortinet), and network security protocols
- Proactively monitor network performance using SolarWinds/NPM and resolve outages within SLA
- Document network architecture, create Visio diagrams, and maintain configuration management
- Collaborate with cloud teams on hybrid infrastructure projects (AWS/Azure)
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex network issues and mentor junior technicians
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on network administration experience with Cisco/Juniper
- CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certification required (CompTIA Network+ minimum)
- Expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and network security best practices
- Strong scripting skills (Python/PowerShell) for automation
- Experience with SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptella/VMware SD-WAN)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with network analyzers (Wireshark)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
