Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Troubleshoot complex network issues including VPN connectivity, wireless access points, and VLAN configurations
- Implement security protocols to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with NIST standards
- Document network changes, configurations, and create technical documentation for stakeholders
- Collaborate with cloud engineers to integrate hybrid cloud solutions
- Provide Tier-3 support during critical incidents and coordinate disaster recovery efforts
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper network hardware
- CCNP or JNCIP certification required (CCIE/JNCIE strongly preferred)
- Expertise in OSPF, BGP, and VLAN protocols with enterprise-scale deployments
- Proficiency in network automation using Python or Ansible
- Strong knowledge of network security principles including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure during outages
