Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex LAN/WAN architectures including Cisco, Juniper, and VMware environments
- Proactively monitor network health using SolarWinds and PRTG with 24/7 on-call rotation
- Lead disaster recovery drills and cybersecurity incident response protocols
- Document network topologies and create SOPs for compliance audits
- Collaborate with cloud engineers to hybridize on-premises and AWS/Azure infrastructure
- Mentor junior technicians through certification pathways
Qualifications
- CCNP/CCIE or JNCIP certification required (5+ years experience)
- Expertise in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and SD-WAN technologies
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Fortinet firewalls and Cisco ISE
- Strong scripting skills (Python/PowerShell) for automation
- Previous healthcare/finance industry compliance (HIPAA/GLBA) experience
- Valid Texas driver's license for client site visits
- CCNA Security certification preferred
