Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN infrastructures including Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet systems
- Manage network security protocols including VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Lead network upgrades and migrations while ensuring zero downtime for critical business operations
- Provide Tier-3 support and mentor junior technicians during complex incident resolution
- Document network topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with cloud teams to optimize hybrid cloud connectivity
- Conduct regular performance audits and capacity planning
Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise-level network administration experience
- CCNP/JNCIP certification or equivalent advanced networking credentials
- Expert knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and MPLS protocols
- Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS and VMware NSX
- Strong familiarity with network automation tools (Python, Ansible)
- Ability to manage 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
