Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and optimize enterprise-level LAN/WAN networks using Cisco and Juniper technologies
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds and Wireshark to ensure 99.9% uptime SLAs
- Implement cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Document network architecture and create disaster recovery plans compliant with NIST standards
- Troubleshoot complex network issues using diagnostic tools and root cause analysis
- Lead network upgrade projects including hardware refreshes and software migrations
- Provide Tier 3 support to resolve escalated technical issues within 4-hour SLA
- Mentor junior technicians through knowledge-sharing sessions and technical documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Network Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years proven experience in enterprise network administration and infrastructure support
- Cisco CCNP/Juniper JNCIP certification required (CCIE/JNCIE preferred)
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN configurations
- Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi and Hyper-V virtualization environments
- Proficiency in scripting with Python/PowerShell for automation tasks
- Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot multi-layer network issues
- Valid California driver's license for occasional on-site client visits
