Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential threats.
- Lead incident response efforts, managing security breaches and mitigating risks effectively.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Monitor security alerts and trends to proactively defend against cyberattacks.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in information security, network security, or a similar technical role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ are highly required.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security models (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
