Responsibilities
- Design and implement low-latency software components for equity options trading platforms.
- Optimize trade matching algorithms and order routing logic to minimize latency.
- Ensure system resilience and high availability for mission-critical trading operations.
- Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers to translate pricing models into executable code.
- Debug complex financial logic and resolve production incidents with minimal downtime.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and mentor junior engineers in best practices.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, specifically within the fintech or high-frequency trading sector.
- Expert proficiency in C++ (modern C++11/14/17) and Python.
- Deep understanding of networking, threading, and memory management for high-performance systems.
- Familiarity with FIX protocol or FIX-ng for financial messaging.
- Strong understanding of options pricing models (e.g., Black-Scholes) and market mechanics.
