Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale datasets related to equity options pricing, volume, and implied volatility to identify market trends and trading opportunities.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to present complex data to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the trading desk and quantitative research teams to build predictive models for option pricing and risk exposure.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Conduct deep-dive research on market microstructure and option Greeks to optimize hedging strategies.
- Produce regular reports and automated alerts regarding market anomalies and potential risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services, fintech, or equity trading sectors.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with strong knowledge of libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- Advanced SQL skills for querying and manipulating complex databases.
- Deep understanding of equity options concepts, including calls, puts, strikes, expiration dates, and the Black-Scholes model.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into clear business recommendations.
