Responsibilities
- Analyze Large-Scale Equity Options Datasets: Extract, clean, and process massive volumes of financial data to support real-time trading decisions.
- Develop Predictive Models: Construct and refine statistical models to forecast volatility, implied probability, and market movements.
- Build Interactive Dashboards: Create intuitive visualizations using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to monitor portfolio performance and risk exposure.
- Collaborate with Trading Teams: Partner with quantitative traders and strategists to translate complex data findings into actionable trade signals.
- Automate Reporting Processes: Streamline data workflows using Python and SQL to reduce manual errors and increase operational efficiency.
- Conduct Market Research: Perform deep-dive analysis on specific equity options, analyzing open interest, volume changes, and sentiment indicators.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services, hedge fund, or trading industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL for database querying. Experience with financial data APIs (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or Polygon.io) is highly preferred.
- Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity options, the Black-Scholes model, Greeks, and market microstructure.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
