We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Cybersecurity SOC Analyst to join our elite 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) in Philadelphia. In this critical role, you will serve as the first line of defense against sophisticated cyber threats, operating during the critical 3rd shift hours. Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitor SIEM (Splunk/Elastic) and IDS/IPS systems for suspicious activities, anomalies, and potential security breaches.
- Incident Response: Perform triage, analysis, and containment of security incidents during off-hours to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively search for hidden threats and indicators of compromise (IOCs) within the network environment.
- Log Analysis: Correlate and analyze log data from firewalls, endpoints, and applications to identify attack vectors.
- Reporting: Generate and present detailed incident reports and daily security status updates to the Shift Lead and management.
- Collaboration: Liaise with the Day Shift team to ensure seamless handoffs and unified incident resolution strategies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Information Security role.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP preferred; GCIH is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and Windows/Linux administration.
- Tools: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, Elastic Stack, QRadar) and security tools (FireEye, CrowdStrike).
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a consistent basis.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.
