Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and access controls.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure software development lifecycles (SDLC).
- Perform forensic analysis in the event of a security breach.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency with security tools and technologies, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance if required.
