Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate active threats in real-time.
- Security Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain robust network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Zero Trust frameworks.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing, code reviews, and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify and patch security gaps.
- Compliance & Governance: Oversee compliance with SOC2 Type II, ISO 27001, and HIPAA regulations, managing internal and external audits.
- Incident Response Leadership: Lead the technical investigation and containment of security breaches, coordinating with legal and executive teams.
- Cloud Security: Implement and manage security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) ensuring data protection and encryption.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity engineering, information security, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting; deep knowledge of Linux and Windows security hardening.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with security tools such as Sentinel, Tenable, Metasploit, or similar.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
