Responsibilities
- Architect and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM and EDR platforms
- Lead incident response for zero-day vulnerabilities and APT attacks
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across cloud/on-prem environments
- Develop security automation scripts using Python/PowerShell
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and NYDFS regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and document security procedures
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ in infrastructure security roles
- Certified CISSP, CEH, or OSCP required
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security architecture and cloud security tools
- Experience with Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, or SentinelOne EDR solutions
- Strong background in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Hands-on experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- NYC metro area residency preferred (for hybrid option)
