Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Mitigation: Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents in real-time to ensure system integrity.
- Security Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain robust security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate weaknesses in our systems.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Security Awareness: Train and educate internal teams on security best practices and emerging threats.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate technical investigations into security breaches and data loss events.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GCIH are highly required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), scripting (Python/Bash), and cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Remote Work: Proven track record of success working effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to executive stakeholders.
