Responsibilities
- Lead and manage incident response efforts for security breaches and cyber threats within the Virginia network.
- Conduct regular penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures for cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Enforce strict compliance standards, including NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR protocols.
- Monitor SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) for anomalous activities and security alerts.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in cybersecurity, network defense, or information security.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CISM are strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Extensive experience with SIEM tools, Firewalls, and Next-Generation Antivirus solutions.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 security operations environment.
