Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level security architectures and firewalls.
- Conduct daily security monitoring, threat analysis, and incident response for active threats.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Develop and automate security policies using Python and SIEM tools.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Manage access controls and identity management systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security engineering.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Linux, Windows, and network protocols.
- Experience with SIEM solutions (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid or remote capacity within the Austin area.
