Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide security architectures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions.
- Lead and direct investigations into complex security incidents, breaches, and vulnerabilities using advanced threat hunting techniques.
- Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify potential weaknesses in our systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as SOC2, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Develop and automate security policies and scripts using Python or Bash to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security training and awareness programs for employees to foster a security-first culture.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of network security protocols, encryption standards, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proven experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; or equivalent military/industry experience.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance if required.
