Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security operations centers (SOC) 24/7 to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents in real-time.
- Penetration Testing: Conduct rigorous internal and external penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities before malicious actors exploit them.
- Security Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain robust security frameworks and firewalls to protect organizational assets.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all systems adhere to regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST guidelines.
- Incident Forensics: Lead post-incident investigations to determine the root cause of breaches and implement remediation strategies.
- Security Awareness Training: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, or CSSLP certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, network security, or systems administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Check Point), and Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions.
- Programming: Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation and log analysis.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
