Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) in real-time.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and remediation planning for identified security gaps.
- Security Architecture: Design and implement robust security controls, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems to safeguard network assets.
- Incident Management: Lead and coordinate incident response activities during security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, SOC 2, and NIST frameworks through rigorous documentation and audits.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related technical role.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH is highly required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto), IDS/IPS, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Tools: Strong working knowledge of SIEM platforms (Splunk, LogRhythm) and EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
