Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s security architecture, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Monitor security systems and analyze logs to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalies in real-time.
- Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to ensure robust defense mechanisms.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans, executing drills to ensure readiness for security breaches.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) across all departments.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security training and awareness to staff members to foster a culture of security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security principles (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
