Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced security architectures to protect enterprise assets against evolving cyber threats.
- Conduct rigorous vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and remediate weaknesses.
- Monitor security operations centers (SOC) for potential breaches and respond to incidents with speed and precision.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Produce detailed security reports and documentation for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel), firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container security (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment or on-site in San Antonio or Virginia.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
