Responsibilities
- Lead and manage incident response procedures to contain and remediate security breaches efficiently.
- Architect and implement advanced threat detection systems, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks proactively.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Develop and automate security monitoring scripts using Python and Bash to enhance operational visibility.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security controls into the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps).
- Provide security training and guidance to cross-functional teams to foster a culture of security awareness.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network defense.
- Certifications are highly preferred: CISSP, CEH, CISM, or GCIH.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and Linux environments.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate security risks to executive leadership.
