Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead incident response coordination for critical security breaches
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across hybrid environments
- Develop zero-trust architecture solutions for cloud/on-premise infrastructures
- Mentor junior engineers and drive security awareness initiatives
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 standards
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in engineering leadership
- CISSP, CISM, or OSCP certification required
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container orchestration
- Hands-on experience with network segmentation and firewall management
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) and automation frameworks
- Proven track record in designing secure cloud-native applications
- Experience with threat hunting and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
