Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-level security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security gaps
- Develop incident response plans and lead security breach investigations
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and analyze threat intelligence
- Create and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and runbooks
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies through continuous research and training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles with focus on infrastructure security
- Professional certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expert knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, TLS)
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS Security Hub, Azure Sentinel, GCP Security Command Center)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation tasks
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats and communicate risks effectively
- Eligibility for US government security clearance (desired)
