Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk/Sentinel) to detect and respond to potential breaches in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews to identify weaknesses in our network architecture.
- Manage identity and access management (IAM) protocols to ensure strict compliance with the principle of least privilege.
- Implement and maintain security controls for cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and on-premise systems.
- Develop and update incident response plans to minimize downtime and data loss during security events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to educate staff on security best practices and compliance standards (SOC2, HIPAA, NIST).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT field.
- Active certification required: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and threat hunting.
- Experience with log analysis and log management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
