The Role
As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will monitor our networks, conduct vulnerability assessments, and lead incident response efforts. This is a high-impact role where your contributions will directly secure our organization.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network infrastructure.
- Lead incident response teams during security breaches, coordinating with stakeholders to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) across the organization.
- Configure and manage firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion prevention systems.
- Provide security awareness training to employees to reduce human error and phishing risks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
