Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with rapid containment procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Implement and maintain security controls across cloud and hybrid environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security gaps
- Document security incidents and prepare executive-level incident reports
- Stay updated on emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with 2+ years in security operations
- CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of network security protocols and cloud architectures
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun 6AM-6PM PST)
- Excellent written communication for documentation and reporting
