Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun 12AM-8AM)
- Lead incident response coordination during weekend hours, including containment and remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop and implement security automation scripts for weekend operations
- Collaborate with global teams to document security incidents and post-mortem analysis
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 frameworks
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct weekend security awareness training
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with 2+ years in shift-based operations
- CISSP, CISM, or GIAC certification required
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong background in network security, threat hunting, and incident response
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Ability to work independently during off-hours with minimal supervision
- Active DoD Secret clearance or willingness to obtain
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and automation frameworks
